Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Mother-Baby, Couplet Care, and Postpartum to join a supportive and dynamic team. This position is open to first-time travelers and provides an excellent opportunity to work in a high-risk antepartum care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide care for high-risk antepartum patients (6–41 weeks gestation), including cases such as PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, and PROM.
- Offer compassionate support for patients experiencing fetal loss or postpartum complications.
- Care for postpartum mothers with babies in the NICU (no newborn care on this unit).
- Float to Postpartum units as required.
- Assist with sterile speculum exams and monitor maternal health.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
- Candidates with less than 2 years or no experience in C-sections require manager approval.
- Licensure: WA RN license required (active, in-process, or compact).
- If in-process, please include the application date and estimated issuance date.
- Certifications:
- AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (Required).
- ACLS (Preferred).
Skills Required
- High-risk antepartum care, including managing PCA pumps and central lines (PICC/CVC).
- Administration of medications, including anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy.
- Circulating for C-section procedures.
- Supporting bedside procedures, including sterile speculum exams.
Additional Information
- Floating: Required to Postpartum units.
- Weekend Requirements: 3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (50% fewer than standard).
- Shift Hours: Night 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
- Scrub Requirements: Any color allowed; scrubs provided when floated to L&D units.
